Steinhart isn’t considered luxury since they’re priced much lower than true luxury brands like Rolex and even Breitling. However, they offer Swiss movements and German manufacturing. At their mid-level ~0 price point, some might consider them “affordable luxury,” though that’s subjective. I purchased an Orient President, a homage to the daydate, and just about everyone that asked about it liked it, aside from one guy. When I told him it was an Orient, he scoffed. I didn't buy it to impress him, I just like the design and would obviously take the Rolex over my homage, but that's not a reality for me. Have owned Ginault, Squale, and Steinhart; and I would rank them in this order. The Ginault is the closest Rolex Submariner homage that mimics a five digit Sub. The Bracelt on the Ginault is worlds better than both of the others, and even has a glide lock clasp.
