I'm not familiar much with Vintage Omega Seamasters, being more of a speedmaster fan, but about a week ago, I walked into a shop in __ (to be revealed!) to .Omega Seamaster 300 BIG TRIANGLE DIVER 1969 Vintage automatic watch Cal. 565 Ref. 166.024 Used ( Fair ) | Year of production 1969 | No original box | No original papers JwRosenthal. p.s.: let's try to take a closer look at an Omega Seamaster 300 advertisement (about 1967-1968). and now a very closer look at the dial. finally as I told you before in this reply: "Dials must be seen live with a good loupe and with a lot of experience having seen many of both good and re-lumed." First pointer for me would be that Watchco watches are newer, so the dial and hands will be made using luminova instead of tritium. When you see original SM300's the tritium ages it turns a darker yellow / orange (see my avatar image). If the watch has tritium the dial should read "T Swiss T" in the case of the SM300's. The 6 and 12 markers should have a pin mark in them. The absence of this generally points to a relume. That in my view puts a question mark over the big triangle. The attractiveness of the lime on a particular watch is a matter of personal opinion. There are many examples of original lumed SM300s without pin holes at 12 and/or 6.
