In my time with the Unimatic U1-DW I’ve been nothing but impressed. It’s a great watch, it’s compelling, and it’s relatively affordable. I find myself picking it up just to look at . The U1 watches are normally good value for the price. But they're at a budget price point, and won't compare macro (or very close) comparison with a rep that costs 4 or 5 times more. If you decide you'd like to upgrade, then rather than trying to mod the U1, you would be better off buying new from a TD here, or waiting for a watch to come up M2M.
